About the course
This course provides you with an insight into the world of quantum communication. Together we discuss different aspects, ranging from modern, classical communication to quantum communication and post-quantum cryptography. We also dive deeper into protocols for quantum key distribution, looking not only at the well-known DV-QKD protocols but at CV-QKD protocols as well. After that, we immerse ourselves in the world of quantum networks and their components – the quantum links and quantum nodes. Lastly, this quantum-communication course addresses possible application scenarios and the importance of quantum communication for a wide variety of sectors.
